Correspondence
A letter to Lucy Lloyd from Roland Trimen at the Museum, dated 1 June 1882, regarding the late George Stow's drawings (i.e. his copies of Bushman paintings). Trimen reports that he finally met with FHS Orpen, who had little knowledge of Stow's wishes and advised waiting for information from Stow's widow or brother - Orpen rather doubted the brother's abilities but offered to support publication of the drawings. He also mentioned a proposed sum on that Parliament's Session's estimates for publishing Stow's MS "Intrusion of the Kafir Races", for which he would try and get support amongst his Member friends. Trimen asks if Lucy knew of this proposal and requests any further updates.
