Summary

A letter from Joyce van der Riet to Dorothea Bleek, from JC Truter's residence in Doorn River on 15 May 1932, concerning the copying of Bushman paintings. Joyce van der Riet describes staying at Mrs North's in Oudtshoorn, where there are three lots of caves with paintings, which they copied. She reports finding a new cave with excellent paintings. Unlike the disappointing paintings discussed in her last letter, the ones at Boesman's Kloof in the Oudtshoorn area were good. They next copied paintings at Doorn River and plan to travel to two more locations before returning home. Van der Riet asks Dorothea if she wants them to add in a quick trip to copy paintings near Knysna/Mossel Bay, as they only have the Alicedale set near Grahamstown remaining.
