Correspondence
A letter from Wilhelm Bleek to Jemima Lloyd sent from Cape Town and dated 19 January 1862. Wilhelm writes of everyday matters and news as well as the usual topics of discussion in his letters to Jemima - including their health, religious views and her troubled family history - while anxiously awaiting Jemima's answer to his proposal letter. He also describes the process whereby the Grey Library was founded and the possibility of his being awarded the position of librarian there.
