Correspondence

A series of extracts written by Jemima Lloyd, transcribed in pencil from letters written to her by Wilhelm Bleek throughout 1862. The first extract is dated 19 January 1862, the next 19 February 1862; then 21 March 1862, 9 April, 13 July, 19 August and 22 August. At the top of the first page Jemima has written, "Extract from a letter from Dr Bleek to myself [J. Lloyd], dated Cape Town 19 January 1862 ". The extracts describe Wilhelm Bleek's appointment as the Grey Librarian.
