"Specimens of Bushman Folklore. Collected by the late W.H.I. Bleek Ph.D., and L.C. Lloyd. Edited by the latter." The review in "The Manchester Guardian" begins by stating the value of the publication for students of Bushman culture and race. Describes the work of Bleek and Lloyd in general, then the division of the book into two parts summarising what each part contains. The author offers a critique, suggesting greater elucidation and explanatory text for both general reader and expert - if circumstances permit Lloyd to continue publishing these valuable records in the future.
