"South African Lore. Bushman Folklore, by the late W.H.I. Bleek and L.C. Lloyd. (George Allen & Co., 21s. net)." A brief review in "The Globe" stating that this valuable investigation of Bushman Folklore will primarily be of interest to ethnologists and students of African human origins. The author describes how the publication contains the songs, tales and traditions of the Bushmen, as well as their speech, accompanied by a "great mass of explanatory notes". As such, they believe that this volume, while of limited wide appeal, will likely soon be the standard authority on the subject and is clearly the result of years of patient work. The name of the newspaper and the date are handwritten underneath the article on the clipping. The scrapbook page number 22 is hand written in the top right-hand corner.
