"Bushman Drawings in the Museum." George Stow's copies of Bushman paintings finally find a "resting place" in the S.A. Museum. This "Cape Times" article describes how, after his death, Stow's widow sold his drawings and manuscripts to Lucy Lloyd, who arranged for the publication of a major part of the MS and some drawings. Later, Dorothea Bleek published 72 of Stow's paintings. Prof. H. Breuil, who reviewed the latter publication in "Nature", discusses Stow's copying work in this article. He questions some of Dorothea Bleek's conclusions on the age of rock paintings (by looking at pigment colours used and how long they last). Slip of paper pasted underneath clipping reads: "International Press-Cutting Bureau, 110, Fleet Street, London, E.C.4. Extract from Cape Times Cape Town. 13 Jul 1931 [stamped]"
