"Ancient Beads. The Drift To the Transvaal. To the Editor of The Star." B.H. Dicke writes a letter to the editor in response to its article, "Six Hundred A.D.", which misrepresented Dicke's opinion (expressed in a paper read before the scientists' meeting in Johannesburg) as being that some ancient N. Transvaal heirloom beads may have actually originated from Carthage. Dicke wants to clarify his position as this was not exactly what he said. He also has some hypotheses about the creators of Great Zimbabwe.
