Dorothea Bleek (loose clippings ), clippings (D. Bleek's loose ), Bushman research (D. Bleek's clippings re ), Wilhelm Bleek (in review of D. Bleek's Naron and Bushman vocabularies monographs )
A review of the July 1929 issue of "Africa" journal (Vol. II no.3) edited by Diedrich Westermann. A review in "Times Literary Supplement" mentions, among other essays by noted researchers, Dorothea Bleek's two recent monographs on the Naron and Bushman vocabularies. In this volume Bleek continues her father's work with a "valuable contribution" on Bushman folklore - a general survey of animal legends and the part played by "personified or deified stars", followed by a discussion of Bushman prayers. Slip of paper pasted underneath clipping reads: "International Press-Cutting Bureau, 51, Red Lion St., London, W.C.I. Extract from Times Literary Supplement Date 22 Aug 1929 [stamped]."
