A complete front page of "The Star". Although there are numerous articles and captioned photographs on this newsprint the article Bleek is interested in is: "The Mysterious Rock Marks At Fourteen Streams. Who Engraved Them and For What Purpose?" Article describes and tries to explain origins and meaning of the three petroglyphs of "ancient origin" discovered at Fourteen Streams. Discusses possible origins of the petroglyphs in relation to Bushmen and Hottentots (and possible Hottentot influence by the Chinese). There are a few minor tears at top and bottom left edges. The article features a captioned photograph of a petroglyph found at Fourteen Streams and 4 diagrammatic illustrations as part of the text.
