Typed pages forming part of a letter/proposal concerning a programme of anthropological research in the SW Africa Protectorate to conducted by an unnamed person and their staff (and funded by the writer). The pages feature the classification of Hottentots, Bushmen and other indigenous "races". On p.1 no. 1 "Hottentots" are classified in 3 columns: "name of tribe", "former locality" and "present distribution". The rest of the typed pages are in narrative format but still divided according to "race" with ethnographic details and location of specific groups. (e.g. no.2. is "Bushmen" while "Herero", "Ovambo" etc .) Five typed pages, notations in pencil on p.1.
