"Britain's Share in Victory. Contributed More Than U.S. Figures Submitted to Washington". "The Times" article (first part) reports on Britain's claims, in the Washington talks, that its contribution to securing Allied victory was greater than that of the U.S. Leaked figures (such as casualties and lost national wealth) support its claim. The second part of the article, "Possible Solution", discusses the transition to commercial trade relations (and the 'Lease-lend' arrangement) between the US and Britain. The first byline reads "Sapa-Reuter" and the second "'The Times' Parliamentary Correspondent". "Week-[illegible]" (folio cut off). The date is handwritten at the top of the clipping.
