Correspondence
A page of notes by Lucy Lloyd, undated, describing where and with whom Diaǃkwain's son and daughter were living. The names are of farmers as well as the "Boer" names of Diaǃkwain's son and daughter ("Boy"[?] and "Trui"). Also featured is the name of Gert van Wyk at Middlepost: the farmer who Diaǃkwain asks Dr Meyer to send a letter to regarding his sister ǃkwe-ten-taǁken's whereabouts. As such, this note was taken down by Lucy Lloyd around the time of Diaǃkwain's 20 August 1875 dictation of this letter - intended for his sister ǃkwe-ten-taǁken and her family via Dr Meyer of Calvinia. 1.At the top of the page, above Gert van Wyk's name, Lucy has written: "Name of Rachel's Boer", which has been crossed out in pencil. In Diaǃkwain's letter he states that his sister Whai-ttu lived at Gert van Wyk's place, not ǃkwe-ten-taǁken, so perhaps that is why the line was crossed out. 2. See 15.1 for Lucy's English translation of this letter.
