Summary
A short letter from Roland Trimen at the South African Museum to Lucy Lloyd, dated 4 October 1877. Trimen replies to Lloyd's enquiry about a moth she presumably sent him, which he now returns with the letter. He identifies it as Pluria putefacta [?], a species widespread throughout South Africa and similar to the P. gamma moth of Europe. He adds that Lloyd's "small native" may well have noticed it.
