A short letter from a clerk on behalf of the Colonial Secretary's Office, Cape Town, to Lucy Lloyd, sent on a Sunday in November 1882. Includes envelope addressed to "Miss L. Lloyd, The Grey Library". The author informs Lucy that the publisher, Mr Murray, has handed over George Stow's manuscript for her and that it will be sent out on the "German". This follows Lucy's earlier request to CS Orpen for permission to read the MS on its return from Murray in England to Mrs Stow.
