Correspondence
A letter, possibly an unfinished or discarded draft, from Jemima Lloyd to her sister Lucy Lloyd, written "out of doors", presumably in the Cape, on Sunday 30 November 1862. Jemima responds to Lucy's shock and upset over something Jemima said, as well as a misunderstanding with Wilhelm, and her intention to not come and stay with them as a result. At the time of this letter the now-married couple have moved into their New Street house. It is not stated where Lucy is (probably still at Mrs Roesch's Boarding House).

1. This draft is dated eight days after Jemima and Wilhelm's wedding. Lucy departed for Natal on about 21 January 1863 after staying with Wilhelm and Jemima. It seems from this draft that Lucy felt she could not come and stay with them at New Street - but clearly Jemima and Wilhelm managed to persuade her to come and stay with them after all, until January 1863 anyway.
