A short note from Jemima Lloyd to Wilhelm Bleek, written on Tuesday morning, 18 November 1862, under a week before their wedding. She informs him that she and Lucy are keeping Tom with them so he may collect a parcel from the New Street house. She thanks Wilhelm for his note, but will not answer it yet as she must finish the law papers before he arrives.

1. Although the note is not dated by Jemima, Monday was 17 November so Tuesday must be the 18th. 2. The wedding was on 22 November 1862. 3. Tom is the "American Negro" former first cook on the wrecked Waldensian employed by Bleek for the New Street house. [See Wilhelm Bleek's letter to Fanny Lloyd 30 October 1862, C6.5] 4.
