Correspondence
A letter from Jemima Lloyd to Wilhelm Bleek, written on the evening of 17 November 1862, less than a week before their wedding. Jemima reports Lucy is "very poorly" and, after reviewing their remaining tasks, they realise they cannot manage everything in time without risking severe illness due to overextertion (especially Lucy). With regret, Jemima proposes postponing the wedding - she favours Friday, while Lucy thinks Thursday is possible. Jemima will discuss it with Wilhelm in person the next day. She ends by saying how grieved she is.
