Correspondence
A letter from Professor Louis Maingard from the University of the Witwatersrand to Dorothea Bleek, 10 April 1947, regarding the use of a Verityper to publish her Bushman Dictionary. He reports (in response to her 7 April letter asking for his advice) that Professor Doke did not, in fact, use the Veritype process to publish his Lamba Dictionary as she had thought. He also offers to write to former Chairman Dr Smeath-Thomas enquiring after the £500 grant promised by the (defunct) Research Grant Board. He then discusses the various sources of funds making up the amount required by Professor Harris. He ends by discussing Professor Harris' Veritype offer and the specimens of type Dorothea sent him.
