A typed copy (unsigned) of Dorothea Bleek's letter to Professor Louis Maingard, 11 July 1945, regarding her application to the Research Grant Board for funding to publish her Bushman Dictionary. A memorandum page describing her Bushman Dictionary, intended to go with her application forms, is attached. Dorothea thanks Maingard for his advice and efforts to help her get financial support. She has filled in the application forms to the best of her ability and encloses them for Maingard's comments. She is also writing to Professor Doke asking for him to write a letter of support to the Board and is glad that Maingard is doing the same.
