Letter from Ferris J Stephens of the American Oriental Society to KMF Scott, 2 October 1956, informing Scott that the dictionary has been published and that they wish to distribute the complimentary copies. These include 10 free copies each to the two institutions that funded the publication, review copies to all on the list of 24 periodicals and Dorothea Bleek's 10 personal copies for Scott to distribute. Stephens also asks for clarification of the name and address of the SA Council for Social Research, which appears differently in the agreement and on the title page acknowledgements. The remaining unused grant balance will be returned to the donor. Stephens also asks for the citizenship of the author for the copyright application. Includes air mail envelope.

1. This is over three years since Scott enquired about the progress and completion of the publication. 2. It is not clear at what point the dictionary's name changed from "A Comparative Dictionary of the Bushman Languages" to "A Bushman Dictionary".
