Correspondence
Letter from Helen E Hause to Dr KMF "Marjorie" Scott, 21 February 1950, regarding the publication of Dorothea Bleek's Bushman dictionary. Hause has been informed by Professor Maingard that Scott is taking over proofreading and has sent the first part of the MS to Scott. She informs Scott that Maingard's suggestions for the first part will be impossible due to typographical difficulties and asks if Scott will accept an explanation and apology for symbols used at the start of the book. Hause acknowledges that proofreading the dictionary is a very tedious task and assures Scott everything possible has been done to ease her labour. Hause would like to hear when and in what condition the MS arrives, as she is concerned about its treatment en passage. Air mail envelope addressed to Scott included.
