Correspondence of this early stage of the publication process (e.g. this agreement) appears to generally be sent to Schapera and Dorothea by Professor Harris on behalf of the American Oriental Society (he is editor of its journal), which is based in Massachusetts. Harris was based at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
