Correspondence
A letter from Professor Louis Maingard from the University of the Witwatersrand to Dorothea Bleek, 26 October 1944. He reports on a conversation he had with Clement Doke (on the subject of funding for publishing the Bushman Dictionary), who advised Dorothea to approach the University of Cape Town while still an Honourary Reader; failing that, the Research Grant Board. UCT should be given "first refusal". He then addresses problems with the publication of the dictionary itself, A-C, having also discussed the three points with Doke. As a postscript, Maingard writes that he and Doke would support Dorothea's grant application to either of the aforementioned bodies.
