A letter [copy?] from Dorothea Bleek to Isaac Schapera, 19 June 1947, regarding the publication of her Bushman dictionary. Dorothea's letter accompanies the MS of "A Comparative Dictionary of the Bushman Languages" (not including the Introduction) for Schapera to dispatch to the American Oriental Society. Dorothea also sends a list of special symbols. She mentions the Board's £500 award and asks Schapera to point out the need for an acknowledgement of its assistance when the dictionary is printed. She also mentions the Board's possible other requirements. She encloses her cheque for her own contribution towards publication (£250).
