A letter [copy?] from Dorothea Bleek to Dr Isaac Schapera, 7 April 1947. Schapera had forwarded Dorothea a letter received from Professor Zellig S Harris regarding the possible publication of "A Comparative Dictionary of the Bushman Languages" by the American Oriental Society and proposing the use of a "Varityper". Dorothea expresses gratitude for Schapera's efforts. She thinks the Varityper "scheme" sounds feasible but must check with the Board, who promised her a £500 grant, if they will accept the process. She is sending the samples and letters to Professor Louis Maingard to get its approval. If she does, she will send Schapera the MS to forward to Harris.
