Correspondence
A letter from Dr Isaac Schapera of the University of Cape Town's School of African Studies (and Head of UCT's Editorial Board) to Dorothea Bleek, 3 April 1947. Schapera reports on a letter received from Professor Zellig S Harris investigating the possible publication of "A Comparative Dictionary of the Bushman Languages" by the American Oriental Society. Harris proposes using a "Varityper", as finding a printer is so difficult, and sends samples of the typefaces to which he refers in his letter. Schapera thinks this a satisfactory solution to the problem of publishing the dictionary and encourages Dorothea to consider it. He encloses a copy of Harris' letter and asks Dorothea, if she is interested in the proposal, to let him have her MS to send to Harris as soon as possible.
