Correspondence
A letter from Professor Clement Doke to Dorothea Bleek, dated 10 May 1943. Doke replies to Dorothea's letter of the 27th [April?], in which she asked some questions about his use of a !ku retroflex click. Doke confirms Dorothea's interpretation of the click, referring to its use by Lucy Lloyd and Heinrich Vedder and the acceptable symbol for use in her orthography. He is glad to hear that she is nearing completion of her Bushman dictionary and asks if she saw his reference to Wilhelm Bleek's work in "African Studies". He would like Wilhelm Bleek's "autograph" very much.
