1. The National Research Board's instructions were given on 17 July 1941. Dorothea was to pay them 2/3 of the royalties remaining after her costs for "More Rock Paintings in South Africa" were paid off, in fulfilment of her research grant conditions. 2. The SA Council for Educational, Sociological and Humanistic Research took over the functions of the National Research Council and Board and is part of the Union Department of Education.
