1. Dorothea was instructed by the National Research Council and Board to pay them 2/3 of her royalties (after her costs for "More Rock Paintings in South Africa" were paid off) in fulfilment of her research grant. This letter is in response to Dorothea's sending a cheque for such an amount to the Board (part of the office of the Union Education Department).
