Summary

A letter from Dorothea Bleek to the Secretary of the National Research Council and Board, Beatrice Eva [?], 8 August 1938, in response to the Board's request for details of the methods used in copying and photographing the rock paintings. Dorothea informs the Board that the van der Riets copied the rock paintings and briefly describes how the copies were executed, having "impressed on them, that I did not want pretty pictures, but accurate copies".
