Summary

A letter from Joyce van der Riet to Dorothea Bleek, from Grahamstown on 17 June 1932, concerning the copying of Bushman paintings. Van der Riet is sending Dorothea the Alicedale copies (along with some extras they made at Hell Poort). Mr Hewitt at the Museum felt they were necessary to copy. Van der Riet asks Dorothea if they must stop or if there are others she wants copied. She sends Dorothea a map they have made of the Grahamstown region marked with locations of Bushman paintings. She also names two other locations where there are paintings and asks if they must copy them. She hopes there will be more work from Dorothea, as she and her sister are becoming increasingly interested in the Bushmen and their paintings.
