A letter from Joyce van der Riet to Dorothea Bleek, from Grahamstown on 23 April 1932, concerning the copying of Bushman paintings in the region. Joyce van der Riet has received her letter with information about asking people about rock paintings in the Humansdorp region. Van der Riet asks Dorothea about the possibility of doing several locations/sets of copying in one trip. She writes that she sent Dorothea the Coldspring copies and informs her of their mileage. She will also send photographs of the Coldspring Valley. Van der Riet concludes by observing that all of the copies made were beside streams, hence location seems to have been essential to the Bushmen.
