Correspondence
A letter from Joyce van der Riet to Dorothea Bleek, from Grahamstown on 21 March 1932, concerning the copying of Bushman paintings in the region. Joyce van der Riet is sending Dorothea Bleek the copied set of paintings from the Glencraig cave. She left out several caves as obviously inferior, apparently recent paintings, but asks Dorothea if she would like them all copied as a record. Van der Riet explains the composition decisions they made for some pages and how this may effect payment. She also informs Dorothea of their mileage. Finally, Van der Riet asks if they must make colour corrections, i.e. brighten the "almost washed out", "weather worn" appearance of the copies before sending them. Includes a page of notes/list of caves and numbered sheet copies.
