Correspondence
An undated letter from Wilhelm Bleek to Jemima Lloyd, written at the New Street house at "20 minutes past ten [?]". Wilhelm is very anxious about "Mr Reid's business", as it may delay their wedding, and he asks Lucy Lloyd to write to Reid and "press the matter". Jemima must send Lucy's note to the lawyer immediately if she hasn't received the papers from Reid by the time she receives Wilhelm's note.

1. The "papers" are probably the marriage settlement document Reid was employed to draw up. 2. Tom is the "American Negro" formerly first cook on the wrecked Waldensian and employed by Wilhelm for the New Street house [see C6.5: Bleek's letter to Fanny Lloyd, 30 October 1862]. He also delivers parcels, letters and messages for Wilhelm and Jemima.
