Summary

A letter from Wilhelm Bleek to Jemima Lloyd, sent in Cape Town and dated 20 November 1862 ("Thursday morning 7 1/4 am"). Wilhelm reassures Jemima that he is well and asks after her and Lucy. He reminds Jemima not to be anxious and proclaims his confidence about their future. He hopes Lucy is no longer vexed with him; if not he is sure things will be righted once they understand each other better. In addition to directing things at the new house he will also write letters to Jemima's sisters and answer those he received from her uncles, informing them of her safe arrival. He also intends to write a longer letter to Marmaduke explaining their reasons for altering the settlement.
