Correspondence
A letter from Wilhelm Bleek to Jemima Lloyd en route to the Cape, dated 9 November 1862. Wilhelm's letter is intended for Jemima to read upon her arrival in the Cape. In it he suggests Jemima remain on board until he and/or Lucy can fetch her; a room has been booked for her at Mrs Roesch's boarding house where he and Lucy are staying. He reports on their health, busyness and Lucy's helpfulness since arriving. He also informs Jermima he has to move to Parker's Hotel, as people think it "improper" for him to stay in the same house as his future wife. His and Lucy's "two loving hearts" will care for her when she arrives.
