Correspondence
A letter in German from Wilhelm Bleek to his cousin Ernst Haeckel, sent from Cape Town on 18 March 1868. Bleek encloses a proposal listing his publications and brief professional biography for Haeckel to use in the Foreword to "On the Origin of the Language". Bleek asks for two changes regarding personal information and explains what he has altered and sent directly to the publisher. He mentions working on the second part of his "Comparative Grammar" and directs Haeckel to a related article. On a personal note, Bleek writes of the family's planned move closer to the city and reports on their health. His wife's sisters are also moving in with them.
