Summary

A letter from Donald Moodie to Wilhelm Bleek, sent from Pietermaritzburg on 5 November 1855. Moodie thanks Bleek for his letter. The Governor, Sir George Grey, has promised to add extracts from Bleek's letter to enclosures from Moodie's letter, which he will lay before the Executive Council and send to the Secretary of State. Moodie expresses gratitude for Bleek's support in promoting his work amongst the greats of science, and ends with a quote from "Don Quixote", promising to return the favour. Bleek's name, "P M Burg", and unrelated pencilled notes appear on the address side.
