Lucy Lloyd's English translation of Felice Finzi's letter in Italian to Wilhelm Bleek, dated 28 July 1872 from Firenze. Finzi thanks Bleek for the Native photographs and says he will resend the missing "Archivio" parts and a bound volume of his works. He plans to write to the Italian Anthropological Society about Bleek's research and asks for notes on the group's Bleek studies, also offering to contact the Geographical Society. Finzi requests more photographs for a colleague, reports nearing completion of his "Memoria" on Australian languages and asks for Bleek's observations on Australian translations in the Grey Library. He promises to explore African language materials in Rome and will send Bleek an early copy of his Australian languages essay. He includes his volume on Göthe for Lucy Lloyd and praises their work as vital to understanding their "otherwise incomprehensible" beliefs.
