Description
[OS - two joined halves] Seventeen figures of mixed description, all bearing weaponry (bows and arrows, quivers, long sticks). Two groups face each other: nine on the left hand side of the painting and eight on the right. Many of the figures have eared, beaked or pointed faces, some have visible penises. Some arrows fly in the air on the right side of the painting. "Fight between Bushmen. Rocks on the East Bank of the Lower Zwaart Kei near the [unfinsihed or illegible] 26 May 1870 G.W.S."
