Description
[OS - two halves, seperated after restoration] Twenty-four figures of mixed description, most of whom carry weapons (sticks or spears) and shields. Some have animal-heads, one is cloaked in white with a pointed beak-like head. Four others are also cloaked or wear karosses. One figure lies on the ground, another is hidden by a shield. There are three parallel rows of white-spotted shields running horizontally across the top half of the painting. Two rather stylized lions. "Lion Hunt" "Rocks at the Lower Imvani. 23rd Sept. 1867.
